How to handle Tag Key columns in an existing InfluxDB data source

In this article, we will discuss how to handle and check tags columns in an existing data source using InfluxDB. Follow the steps below to enable the tags key column in your data source.

Steps to Enable Tags Key Column

  1. Edit your existing InfluxDB data source. The table will have a tags key column, but it might not be reflected in the data preview in the datasource.

  2. Click the Run button.

  3. The tags key column will be shown in a disabled state.

  4. Click the eye icon to enable the Tags key column.

  5. Now the Tags key column will be added to the data source.


By following these steps, you can easily handle and check tags columns in an existing data source using InfluxDB.

Note that this is applicable only for Bold BI v5.2 and below. In later Bold BI versions these tags are enabled by default.
