How to Adjust Legend Alignment in Chart Widgets
In Bold BI, chart widgets allow you to control where and how legends appear. In addition to choosing the Legend’s Position (Top, Bottom, Left, Right, Drop-down), you can fine-tune the exact placement using the Legend Alignment feature.
This article explains how legend alignment works, why it matters, and how to configure it easily.
Legend Alignment
Legend Alignment determines how the legend is placed inside its designated area.
Available alignment options:
| Alignment | Description |
|---|---|
| Near | Aligns the legend to the start (left or top). |
| Center | Places the legend in the center. |
| Far | Aligns the legend to the end (right or bottom). |
| None | Uses default system alignment without forcing a position. |
Legend alignment helps your chart stay clean, readable, and well-organized.
Important:
Alignment options depend on the selected Legend Position.
How to Adjust Legend Alignment
1. Open Chart Properties
Click the Settings icon on the chart widget to open the Properties panel.
2. Enable the Legend
Go to Legend Settings and ensure Show Legend is turned on.
3. Set Legend Position
Choose where the legend should appear:

Drop-down

Auto
4. Choose Legend Alignment
Use the Alignment dropdown to adjust exact placement based on the chosen position.
