How to Customize Legend Text In Charts

This feature allows you to personalize the legend text in your charts, making it easier to understand and interpret the data being presented. By renaming the legend labels, you can ensure that the data is represented in a way that aligns with your specific needs and preferences.

Steps to Customize Legend Text

1. Open the Custom Legend Settings:

   • Click on the Customize button under the Legend Settings category to open the dialog box.
     
     

2. Edit Legend Text:

   • In the Custom Legend Settings dialog box, you will see a list of current legend labels on the left. Next to each label, there’s a text box where you can enter your preferred text.
     

     

   • For example:
     Change UnitPrice(Sum) to Unit Price of Stocks. Change Quantity(Sum) to Quantity of Stocks.

3. Apply and Save:

   • After you have edited the legend text, click OK to save your changes. Your chart will now display the updated legend text, making it more descriptive and easier to understand.

Below is an example of a chart before and after the legend text customization:

Before Customization

The legend might display generic or less descriptive labels like Quantity(Sum) and UnitPrice(Sum).

After Customization

The legend now shows the Quantity of Stocks and Units Price of Stocks, providing a clearer understanding of what each data series represents.

These customization options allow you to create more effective and visually appealing data presentations, ensuring that your charts convey the right message to your audience.
