How to get and use the offline license key in Bold BI?

In certain environment, internet connectivity may not be available. In these cases, Bold BI can still be used with an offline license key. This article will guide you through the process of obtaining and using an offline license key for your Bold BI application.

Obtain access to Offline License Key

To obtain an offline license key, you must first have your account enabled for offline licensing. If you haven’t already, please contact Bold BI support to enable this feature for your account.

Download Offline License Key

1. Go to Bold BI Account and login with your account credentials.
2. Expand the Subscriptions section.
3. Click the Get Offline License Key File to download the offline key.

Using the Offline License Key

1. After obtaining the offline license key, you can use it in your Bold BI application by following the instructions in this link: Select License

2. To find out how many deployments can be set up using a single key, please refer to this article.

Note: Offline keys are valid for 1 year from the downloaded date. We recommend you update the keys every year by purchasing them.

How can I view the expiry date of the license

1. You can view the license expiry date in the Bold BI application.
   • Go to the UMS setting page : {your domain}/ums/administration
   • Now click on Manage License settings, and you can view the license expiry date of Bold BI application under Embedded BI tab as shown below,
     
     
2. You can also view the license expiry date in your subscription section itself, as described in the Download Offline License Key section above.
