How to Add a PivotGrid with KPI Widget in Bold BI
This article will guide you through the process of adding a PivotGrid with Indicator custom widget to your Bold BI application. Follow these steps to publish and use the custom widget in your application.
Steps to Publish Pivot Grid with Indicator Custom Widget
Download the custom widget: Obtain the PivotGrid with Indicator custom widget file from the source or attachment provided.
Publish the custom widget: Use the help link to guide you through the process of publishing the custom widget to your Bold BI application.
Find the Pivot Grid with Indicator widget: Navigate to the Miscellaneous section of the designer panel in your Bold BI application. The Pivot Grid with Indicator custom widget, should be available there, as shown in the image below.

- Drag and drop the widget: To use the PivotGrid with Indicator custom widget, drag and drop it onto your dashboard and bind the data, as shown in the image below. The widget will be rendered as shown.
Bind data to the PivotGrid with Indicator
- Modify and Format the Custom Widget: You can now modify and apply the formatting to the custom widget as you would with the built-in pivot grid widget. Additionally, you can enable the KPI column for the pivot grid based on the measure column bound to the pivot grid.
- Enable KPI Property: To enable KPI support, bind two measure columns to the values section and use the Enable KPI property, which can be found in the properties panel as shown in the image.

Note: We need to bind two measure columns to the values section to enable the KPI column as in the above image, and based on the values section data only, we calculate the difference as a percentage as in the above image. Custom widget publishing through the UI is supported only in the Bold BI on-premises build.
