How to change the date format in dashboards and widgets?

Published:

The default culture of the Bold BI application is en-us, and its specified date format is MM/DD/YYYY. So the default format of any date column added to the widget will be MM/DD/YYYY. You can change the date format to DD/MM/YYYY either in a particular widget or across all the dashboards in the Bold BI site.

Changing Date Format in a Widget

NOTE: Custom date format support is applicable only for date-time columns configured with Chart and Grid widgets.

Follow the steps below to change the date format to DD/MM/YYYY for the widget level alone.

  1. Configure the widget (Chart or Grid) with the required date column and set its format as Date.
  2. To configure the custom date format settings, click Settings -> Edit... and open the Date Settings dialog.            custom-date-format-window.pngSettings -> Edit option to open the Date Settings dialog window
  3. Choose Custom option from Format drop-down.

Changing Date Format across all dashboards in a site

To change the date format across all the widgets in a dashboard and all the dashboards in a Bold BI site, change the Data language in the Site Settings page. So the data format will be changed based on the chosen language format.
