How to allow users access the dashboards in Bold BI without requiring passwords?
You can add users to the Bold BI application without passwords when you do not need those users to log in to the Bold BI application directly, but can view the dashboards via the embedded application using embed secret.
When you have the dashboards and dashboard designer embedded in your web application, you can access Bold BI through the embed secret; you do not need user passwords to load the dashboards.
Steps to achieve the use case
1. To add users to Bold BI without a password, the user must set the account activation mode to email since, by default, the account activation mode will be Automatic in the Account Settings page. Refer to the links to set the activation type as Email through the application UI and through the API.
2. Configure the email settings to receive the activation link by email. It is not necessary to activate the user account immediately by setting the password using the activation link, which is received via email. If that user needs to access the Bold BI application for the first time later, you can set it using the Cannot access your account? option from the login page.
