How to hide a few dashboard parameters in view mode

Dashboard parameter allows users to execute the custom query or stored procedure dynamically based on the parameter while viewing the dashboard. Users can also use the parameter in the expression columns. In Bold BI, when two or more dashboard parameters are used, we can be able to hide some parameters and not editable from the design view.

Follow the steps below to execute this process

  1. Open the Bold BI
  2. Click the Data Sources icon to navigate to the data source page.

  3. Select the data source with multiple dashboard parameters to edit.

  4. Click the parameter icon on the data source to navigate to the parameter dialog.

  5. Uncheck the Show in Viewer checkbox in the Dashboard Parameters dialog as shown below:

  6. Click update to apply the changes.

    NOTE: The parameters with the Show in Viewer check box checked will be visible to the users in view mode while the unchecked parameter is not visible in view mode.

  1. Click the dashboard parameters icon in dashboard preview/publish mode to view the updated parameters.
