How To Import Users And Groups From Azure AD?

Bold BI provides an option to import users and groups from Azure Active Directory. To import users from Azure Active Directory, we need to configure the registered app in Bold BI and log in to Azure Portal then follow the steps to register Bold BI Application in Azure Active Directory. After registering the App in Azure Active Directory, configure the details in Bold BI to import users and groups.

NOTE: Only users under the System Administrator and users with permission to manage user and group can import users and group from Azure AD into Bold BI.

Importing Users from Azure AD

Follow the steps below to import users from Azure AD

1. ​Open “Bold BI” application
2. Click on Users icon on the left pane of the Bold BI application.
3. Click on New User for the drop-down list to show.
4. On the drop-down list click Import from Azure AD.
   
5. Search for the user to import and select the users from the list and click Import button at the top right corner.
   
6. Bold BI will import the chosen users and a confirmation message will be displayed as shown below.
   
7. Provide access permission to users to access the dashboards on the site by following this link.
8. Bold BI provides an option to synchronize the imported Azure AD users details from Azure AD, follow this link to achieve.

Importing groups from Azure AD

Follow these steps to import groups from azure AD

1. Open “Bold BI” application
2. Click on Users’ icon on the left pane of the bold bi application.
3. Click on Groups on the left pane of the application page.
4. Click on New Group for the drop-down list to show.
5. Choose the Groups from the list and click Import button at the top right corner.
6. Bold BI will import the chosen group and a confirmation message will be displayed as shown below.
7. Provide access permission to groups to access the dashboards on the site by following this link.
8. Bold BI provides an option to synchronize the imported Azure AD groups details from Azure AD, follow this link to achieve.
