AI Credits are allocated at the Bold BI license level and are used to access AI-powered capabilities such as AI Assistant, Dashboard Summarization, Unified AI Agent, and the Q&A Widget. A common question from users is whether unused AI Credits remain available in future billing periods.
The carry-forward behavior depends on the type of credits associated with the license.
Free Monthly AI Credits
- Every active Bold BI license receives 500 free AI Credits at the start of each billing cycle.
- These credits are intended for use during the current billing period and are automatically refreshed when a new billing cycle begins.
- Any unused portion of the free monthly allocation expires at the end of the billing cycle and does not carry forward to the next month.
Example
If a license receives 500 free AI Credits and only 200 credits are used during the billing cycle:
- 200 credits are consumed.
- The remaining 300 credits expire at the end of the billing period.
- A new allocation of 500 credits is provided at the beginning of the next cycle.
This ensures every active license receives a consistent monthly allocation of AI Credits.
Purchasing credits
Admins can purchase additional AI Credits through the Bold BI site settings. The following purchase options are available:
Subscription plans: Monthly recurring plans that provide a fixed number of credits.

Organizations requiring additional AI capacity can subscribe to an AI Credits plan.
When an AI Credits subscription is activated:
