Published:

Overview

In Bold BI version 13.1 and later, the Data Hub (ETL) icon is hidden by default in the left navigation menu. Administrators can enable it through the User Management Server (UMS) configuration. This gives access to Bold Data Hub for building Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) workflows.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the UMS Sites Page

  • Sign in to your Bold BI account as an Administrator.
  • Navigate to the UMS (User Management Server) page.

Best Practices

  • Enable Data Hub only for users who need ETL capabilities.
  • After enabling, assign appropriate permissions in User Management for Data Hub access.
  • Regularly review ETL workflows for performance and data governance.

Conclusion

Enabling the Data Hub menu through the configuration file provides quick access to ETL features in Bold BI. By updating the setting and verifying the change, users can seamlessly manage data workflows directly from the navigation panel, improving efficiency and data handling within the application.
