How to Hide the Widget Comments at Site Level in Bold BI?

Published:

This article explains how to configure the visibility of widget comments at the site level in Bold BI using the custom_ui.json file in the UMS settings. You can control whether widget comments are displayed or hidden for specific sites.

Currently, we have an option to disable widget comments globally. This feature works on a site-by-site basis and allows administrators to hide widget comments for all non-admin users within the selected site.

Steps to Configure:

  1. Navigate to UMS Settings: Go to UMS page → Settings → Configuration.
    Select the file custom_ui.json.

  1. Create Profiles and Assign Profiles to Sites: Define profiles in the JSON file to control widget comment visibility.
Profile1: Set “HideWidgetComment”: true to hide widget comments.
