How to Fix AI Assistant Icon Not Showing in Bold BI
If you’re unable to see the AI Assistant icon in Bold BI, that could be due to several reasons. Below are the possible causes and their solutions:
1. AI Service Is Down
The AI Assistant icon will not be visible if the AI service is down. This could be a temporary issue, and the service may recover within a few seconds. You can verify the status of the AI service at AI Service Health Check. If the status is “healthy,” then the AI service is running, and the issue with the AI icon being hidden is not related to this reason.
2. AI Service Unreachable/Blocked
The AI Assistant icon will not be displayed if the AI Service is inaccessible due to antivirus software or a firewall block. In such cases, you need to adjust your system settings to allow access to the AI service.
3. AI Assistant Not Enabled in Bold BI

4. Embedded Customer Settings
For embedded Bold BI users, there is a specific property, enableAiAssistant, that controls whether the AI Assistant is displayed. If this property is set to false, the icon will not be rendered. To enable the AI Assistant, change the value of enableAiAssistant to true, and the icon should become visible.
