Creating a Table/Grid-Based Dashboard in Bold BI like Bold Reports

In Bold BI, the Grid widget functions as both an interactive data report and a visually engaging, tabular presentation tool. While it provides a data report-style layout, it can also be customized to achieve a similar design to that seen in Bold Reports. This makes the Grid widget a versatile tool, ideal for users looking for both detailed data views and interactive reports.

Steps to Create a Table/Grid-Based Dashboard in Bold BI

Follow these steps to build your own Table/Grid-based dashboard:

1. Create a New Dashboard
Log in to your Bold BI account.
Create a dashboard from scratch

2. Add a Grid Widget

From the Widgets panel on the left, drag the Grid widget to your dashboard.

Select your data source (or choose a sample dataset provided by Bold BI).

3. Configure Data Fields

Map the relevant fields from your dataset (e.g.,Campaign name, Ad name or any other tabular data) to the Grid widget.
Customize the order of columns and their display properties as needed to create a pixel-perfect appearance.

4. Enable Filtering
Enable Allow filter in the grid widget. This allows you to enable a filter box for each column in the grid for easy data filtering.

5. Enable Sorting and Exporting

The Grid widget allows sorting on individual columns by default. You can toggle the interactive sorting of columns in the grid control using this option. It is enabled by default.

You can also toggle the ability to export data in different formats (CSV, Image, PDF, Excel) by enabling the appropriate export options for the Grid widget.
