How to Display Value Fields as Rows in a Pivot Grid Widget

To enhance visibility in a Pivot Grid, it is possible to display value section bound fields in the rows of a Pivot Grid widget. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to configure this setup, using an example that visualizes stock and order unit details of a product on a yearly basis.

Steps to Achieve the Requirement

  1. Add Pivot Grid Widget:

    • Drag and drop a Pivot Grid widget onto the design canvas.
    • Configure the Pivot Grid widget with the necessary measure fields (for example, Stock and Orders)
    • Bind the Year field in the row section and the required dimension field in the column section.

  2. Disable Group Bar (Optional):

    • If displaying the Group Bar of the Pivot Grid is not needed, disable the Show Group Bar option through the properties tab.

  3. Enable Show Values in Row:

    • Navigate to the Basic Settings property section and enable the Show Values in Row property.

  4. View Results:

    • After enabling the setting, the measure fields that are bound in the Value section of the Pivot Grid will be displayed in the rows.
