Scheduling User-Specific Dashboard Exports In Bold BI
In Bold BI, it is possible to schedule emails containing dashboards that are filtered according to specific users. This feature allows for personalized data delivery, ensuring that each user receives only the information relevant to them. This article will guide you through the process of configuring user-based filters and setting up scheduled exports.
Steps to Configure User-Based Filters and Scheduled Exports
1. Configure User Filters
To begin, configure the user filter at the data source level. This step is crucial as it ensures that the dashboard will only display data relevant to the specific user when exported.
When the “Show all data for unmapped users & groups” checkbox is enabled, users who do not have any configured user filters will see all available data.
2. Schedule the Dashboard
After configuring the user filter, you can schedule the dashboard with the applied user filter and select the appropriate recipients.
Example:

The data included in the exported dashboard will reflect the user filter applied on the scheduled dashboard.
Ensure that you have configured the email settings before adding users to the recipients list. Without proper email configuration, you will not be able to schedule and send emails to the intended users.
