Manage UMS user attributes in Bold BI

Custom attributes can be utilized in the custom query and data source connection window. Administrators can add, edit, and delete UMS user attributes from the UMS user’s profile page. This functionality is used to manage user data effectively.
Overview of UMS User Attributes
- Administrator Access: Only administrators can manage user attributes. They can view, add, edit, and delete attributes from the Attributes page.
- Non-Administrative Access: Non-admin users can only view their attributes on their UMS user profile page.
Steps to Add UMS User Attributes via UI
- Access UMS Users Listing: Navigate to the UMS users listing:
{domain_name}/ums/administration/user-management/users
. Click on the username to navigate to the user profile page.
- Navigate to Attributes Page: Click on the “Attributes” tab to access the ‘Attributes’ page.
- Add Attribute: On the ‘Attributes’ page, click the ‘Add Attribute’ button to create a new attribute for the user.
- Edit or Delete Attribute: To modify an existing attribute, use the edit icon. To remove an attribute, use the delete icon.
Once added, the UMS user attributes will also be displayed in the BI tenant sites user attribute section, with an “Inherited From” column indicating the source as “IDP Profile”.
