Enabling and Customizing the Progress Bar on a Grid Widget in Bold BI

Bar Customization

Bold BI offers extensive customization options for progress bars, enabling you to adjust their color, shape, and range to suit your needs. This article will guide you through the steps to enable and configure these settings using the Bar Settings dialog on a Grid widget.

Steps To Enable Bar Customization

1. Open the property panel: Click the Grid widget settings icon to open the property panel
   
   
2. Navigate to the Formatting category: In the property panel, navigate to the Formatting category
   
   
3. Field Selection: Select the measure field for which you want to enable the Bar option. Then you will find the bar radio button property.
   
   
4. Enable the Bar Setting: Click the Bar radio button to open the Bar Customization dialog. Here, you can customize the options based on your needs and click ok to save the settings.
   
   
   
   
   

Customization Options

The Bar Settings dialog provides several properties for configuring your progress bar:

1. Hide Bar Text: This option allows you to enable or disable the text displayed on the progress bar. By default, the text is enabled.
   

   
   
   
   

2. Bar Text Color: Customize the color of the progress bar text using this property.
   

   
   
   
   

3. Positive Bar Color: Change the background color of the progress bar for positive values.
   

   
   
   
   

4. Negative Bar Color: Change the background color of the progress bar for negative values.

6. Minimum: Configure the minimum value for the progress bar using the dropdown options
   

   
   
   Lowest Value: Uses the default minimum value.
   Customize: Enables a text box for entering a custom numeric value.
   
   

7. Maximum: Configure the maximum value for the progress bar using the dropdown options
   

   
   
   Highest Value: Uses the default maximum value.
   Customize: Enables a text box for entering a custom numeric value.
