How can I create different summary rows within the same grid?

Published:
The Bold BI Grid widget places the summary row at the footer of the grid control by default, and it does not split the grid control for each month summary. However, you can achieve this requirement using the Pivot Grid widget. The Bold BI Pivot Grid widget supports row and column subtotals, which can be used to summarize data by month or any other grouping you choose.

Steps to Create Different Summary Rows Using Pivot Grid Widget:

1. Create or Open a Dashboard:
Start by creating a new dashboard or opening an existing one in Bold BI.

2. Add a Pivot Grid Widget:
Add a Pivot Grid widget to the dashboard.

3. Configure the Widget:
  • Select the data source and the fields you want to display.
  • Drag and drop the field you want to group by (such as the date field) to the Rows or Columns section of the widget.
  • Drag and drop the field you want to summarize (such as Measures) to the Values section of the widget.

4. Render the Widget:
Once configured, the widget will be rendered according to your requirements, displaying the summary rows as needed.

By following these steps, you can effectively create different summary rows within the same grid using the Pivot Grid widget in Bold BI.
