How to restore previous versions of dashboards or data sources?

When working with dashboards and data sources, there may be instances where issues arise after recent changes. To mitigate downtime and resolve these issues, you can restore a previous version of the dashboard or data source. Each change made to a dashboard or data source creates a new version, allowing you to revert to an earlier state if needed.

Steps to Restore Previous Versions

  1. Access Version History:
    • Navigate to the dashboard or data source you wish to modify.
    • Locate the version history option. This is typically found in the options menu of the dashboard or data source.

  1. Select the Desired Version:
    • Review the list of available versions. Each entry will have a timestamp on when the changes were made.
    • Identify the version you want to restore based on the timestamp.

    • Select the desired version from the list.
    • Click on Kebab (three vertical dots) and select restore. This will revert the dashboard or data source to the selected version.
