How to display last data refresh time of data sources in schedule export emails

To include the last data refresh time of data sources in your scheduled export emails, follow these steps:

  1. Add a Schedule:

    • Go to the schedule page and click on the “Create Schedule” dialog.
  2. Configure the Export:

    • Select the category, dashboard, widget, or view you need to schedule and export.
    • Click “Next” to proceed.

  3. Include the Last Data Refresh Time:

    • Add the parameter {:IncludeDatasourceRefreshtime} in the body of the email.
    • Position this parameter wherever you want the last data refresh time to appear in the email content.
    • Click “Next” to continue.

  4. Complete the Schedule Configuration:

    • Recurrence Type: Decide how often the export should occur (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly).

    • Users: Specify which users should receive the exported view.

    • Export Type: Choose the format for the export (e.g., PDF, Excel).

    • Finalize the schedule setup.

      You cannot add users to the recipients before configuring the email settings.

  5. Verify the Schedule:

    • Use the “Run Now” option from the schedule listing page menu to ensure the schedule is set up correctly and the last data refresh time is displayed as expected.

    For live connection data sources, the date will be the scheduled time, and for extract connection data sources, the date will be the last refreshed date.

By following these steps, you can successfully include the last data refresh time in your scheduled export emails.
