Why data preview only show ten records when connecting a data Source?
When using various data connectors in Bold BI, you may notice that only a maximum of 10 records are shown during the initial setup phase. This preview limitation is designed to streamline the setup process. Once the data source is fully connected, all records can be accessible through the configured widgets.
The preview applies to connectors configured through API URLs, such as Web, AppFolio, 42matters, Alma, Amazon MWS, etc., The same applies to non-API connectors like Excel, Files(JSON, XML, CSV), and Google Sheets.
For SQL-based connectors such as MySQL, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL, the preview applies when using the extract mode with custom query option. In these cases, only 10 records will be shown during the initial setup phase to streamline the process. Once the data source is fully connected, all records will be accessible.
By limiting the preview to 10 records, Bold BI ensures a smoother and faster setup experience, allowing you to quickly configure and validate your data source connection.
