Is it possible to allow end users to create a data source without sharing the connection information in Bold BI?

Published:

It is feasible to enable end users to generate data sources without disclosing the connection information through the use of Custom Attributes. By storing the connection details as Key Value pairs, we can share only the custom attribute Key with the end user to create data sources. This method ensures that the connection details remain confidential. End users will only have access to the attribute name, while users with appropriate permissions can view and modify the custom attribute. Furthermore, sensitive values such as passwords can be encrypted for added security.
