Configuring Resource Sorting in Bold BI for Efficient Management
In Bold BI, users have the flexibility to configure a common sorting arrangement for various application resources, including dashboards, views, data sources, schedules, and slideshows. This feature allows for a more organized and efficient way to manage resources within the application.
Sorting Type
By default, the application is set to arrange resources based on their modified date automatically. This ensures that the most recently updated resources are easily accessible. However, users have the control to customize the sorting criteria according to their preferences. The available sorting criteria are:
- Name: Sort resources alphabetically by their name.
- Modified Date: Sort resources by the date they were last modified.
Sorting Order
In addition to sorting type, users can also specify the order in which resources are sorted. By default, resources are sorted in descending order of their modified date. The available sorting orders are:
- Ascending: Sort resources from the oldest to the newest, or from A to Z.
- Descending: Sort resources from the newest to the oldest, or from Z to A.
Steps to Configure Sorting
To configure the sorting arrangement for resources in Bold BI:
- Navigate to the site settings in the Bold BI application.
- Locate the ‘Resource Sorting’ section.
- Select the desired sorting type (Name or Modified Date).
- Choose the sorting order (Ascending or Descending).
- Save the changes to apply the new sorting arrangement.
By following these steps, users can ensure that their resources are organized in a manner that best suits their workflow and preferences.
