How to Display Negative Currency Values with Negative Symbol Instead of Parenthesis
Formatting Negative Currency Values at the Widget Level
To format negative currency values at the widget level, follow these steps:
Configure your widget as needed and then access the Measure Formatting window by clicking on the “Format” option in the widget’s settings.
In the Measure Formatting window, select the desired currency format from the “Currency” dropdown menu. For instance, to display negative values with a negative symbol, you might choose “English (Canada)”.
After applying the selected format, the widget will now display currency values with a negative symbol, as desired.
Formatting Negative Currency Values at the Dashboard Level
To apply a negative currency format across the entire dashboard:
From the server page, select the “Settings” option.
On the Site Settings page, navigate to the “Language” section. Here, selects the preferred language from the “Data Language” dropdown menu and save your changes.
Return to the dashboard listing page and open any dashboard. You will now see that the currency format for all widgets reflects the data language you selected.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your dashboards display negative currency values in a format that best suits your needs.
