Published:
When working with financial data in Bold BI dashboards, it’s important to display currency values in a way that is clear and understandable. The data language in Bold BI is set by default to "English (United States)," which displays negative currency values in the format "$(Value)."widget-with-default-data-language.png

Some users may prefer to see negative currency values with a negative symbol (-) instead of the default parenthesis. This article will guide you through the process of customizing the display of negative currency values in Bold BI widgets and dashboards.

Formatting Negative Currency Values at the Widget Level

To format negative currency values at the widget level, follow these steps:

  1. Configure your widget as needed and then access the Measure Formatting window by clicking on the “Format” option in the widget’s settings.
