Integrating Firebase with Bold BI using Google BigQuery
Integrating Firebase with Bold BI can be achieved through Google BigQuery. This integration allows you to retrieve live data from Firebase into your Bold BI dashboards. Follow the steps below to set up the connection:
Step 1: Link Firebase to Google BigQuery
- Sign in to your Firebase account.
- Navigate to the Project Overview settings icon.
- Go to Project Settings and select Integration.
- Link your Google BigQuery account with Firebase.
- Enable the necessary integrations for exporting data from Firebase to BigQuery.
Step 2: Authentication for Bold BI Google BigQuery Connector
Bold BI offers two types of authentication for the Google BigQuery connector:
- OAuth 2.0
- Service Account
Using a Service Account
- Visit the Google Cloud console at Google Cloud Console.
- Go to IAM & Admin and select Service Accounts.
- Choose the service account associated with your Firebase project.
- Click on Manage keys and create a new key in JSON format.
- Download and save the JSON key file to your local machine.
Step 3: Connect Bold BI to Firebase
- Open the Bold BI dashboard and navigate to the Google BigQuery connector.
- Select the authentication method you prefer (OAuth 2.0 or Service Account).
- If using a service account, upload the JSON key file you saved earlier.
- Choose your Firebase project from the list of available projects.
The BigQuery connector will now be able to retrieve live data from your Firebase project and display it in your Bold BI dashboards.
