Connect Percona Database to Bold BI
Connecting Percona Database to Bold BI
Connecting a Percona database to Bold BI can be achieved using the platform’s existing connectors. Percona offers MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB variants, and Bold BI supports these through its data source connections. Below are the steps to connect a Percona database to Bold BI:
Step 1: Select Data Source
From the Bold BI dashboard, navigate to the “Add Data Source” page. Here, you will select the data source type that corresponds to the Percona database variant you are using (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
Step 2: Server Credentials
Enter the server credentials for your configured Percona server. This will typically include the server address, port, username, and password. Once entered, click on the “Connect” button in Bold BI to establish a connection with your Percona database.
Step 3: Datasource Designer
After a successful connection, you can use the datasource designer page to drag and drop the tables you need. Once you have selected your tables and constructed your query, click on “Update” to view the values from the tables.
Step 4: Continue to Dashboard
Once you have configured your data source, click on “Continue to Dashboard.” This will take you back to the main dashboard area of Bold BI.
Step 5: Create Dashboard
Now you can create a dashboard based on the requirements and the data obtained from the Percona database. Utilize the various visualization tools and widgets available in Bold BI to represent your data effectively.
The process outlined above has been tested with the Percona MySQL variant. However, the steps for connecting PostgreSQL and MongoDB variants would follow a similar process within Bold BI.
