Published:
This article will guide you through the process of changing the domain of your Bold BI deployment on Windows environments and accessing the application outside of the installed machine.

Configure Bindings in IIS

  1. Open the IIS Manger.
  2. In the left-side connections panel of IIS, expand the server, then expand the Sites and select the Bold BI site.  Note: The default name of Bold BI site is (BoldBIEnterpriseEdition).
  3.  In the Actions panel, click on Bindings. From the Site Bindings dialog, add a new binding (IP or DNS) to the Bold BI site as shown in the following image. Do not remove the existing bindings in that site.

Update DNS in Bold BI
Please follow the below KB article to update the DNS information in Bold BI.

NOTE:

  • We can use the following bindings to configure the Bold BI.
    • Internal IP Address - Machines on the same network can be able to access the site.
    • Public IP address - Publicly accessible.
    • Public DNS - Publicly accessible.
    • Private DNS - Can be able to access the site within the private environment.
    • Machine Name - Machines on the same network can be able to access the site.
  • If you have a valid SSL certificate installed on the server machine for the respective domain, you can configure the bindings or DNS with HTTPS instead of HTTP when updating the new binding or DNS information.
