How to Efficiently Select Multiple Items in a Bold BI Grid Widget

Selecting multiple items in a grid widget is a useful feature that allows users to interact with data more efficiently. In Bold BI, this can be achieved with a simple keyboard and mouse combination.

Enabling Multi-Select in Grid Widget

To select multiple items within a grid widget, follow these steps:

1. Click on the first item you wish to select in the grid.
2. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
3. While holding the Ctrl key, click on additional items you wish to select.
   
   Each item clicked while holding down the Ctrl key will be added to your selection. This method allows for non-continuous selection, meaning you can select multiple items that are not next to each other in the list.

Visual Confirmation of Selection

Once you have selected the items, you can visually confirm your selection. Bold BI provides a clear indication of which items are selected within the grid widget. If you need to reference how the selected items are displayed, kindly refer to the provided screenshot of filtered values with respect to the master widget.

Additional Tips

• To deselect an item, simply click on the selected item again while holding down the Ctrl key.
• If you wish to select a range of contiguous items in the grid, click on the first item, hold down the Shift key, and then click on the last item in the range. All items in between will be selected.
