How to Set Static or Dynamic Target Values in KPI Cards

Published:

In Bold BI dashboards, KPI cards are a powerful way to visualize key performance indicators and track business metrics. Sometimes, you may want to display a static target value or allow end users to dynamically change the target value. This article outlines the steps to configure both static and dynamic target values in KPI cards.

Static Target Value

To display a static value as the target value in a KPI card, follow these steps:

  1. Create an Expression:

    • Navigate to the expression editor in your dashboard.
    • Enter the static value you wish to display as the target value in the expression field.
    • Save the expression.

    • Go to the KPI card settings.
    • Set the previously saved expression as the target value.
  3. Select Aggregation:

    • Choose “Max” as the aggregation method.
    • This ensures that the KPI card will always display the static value you have set.
