Connecting TiDB Database to Bold BI

Connecting a TiDB database to Bold BI can be achieved using the platform’s existing MySQL connector. TiDB uses MySQL as a Native database, and Bold BI supports TiDB through a MySQL data source connection. Below are the steps to connect a TiDB database to Bold BI:

Step 1: Select Data Source

From the Bold BI dashboard, navigate to the “Add Data Source” page. Here, you will select the MySQL data source connector.

Step 2: Server Credentials

Enter the server credentials for your TiDB server credentials. This will typically include the server address, port, username, and password. Once entered, click on the “Connect” button in Bold BI to establish a connection with your Percona database.

Step 3: Create Dashboard

After a successful connection, you can use the data source designer page to drag and drop the tables you need. Once you have configured your data source, click on “Continue to Dashboard.” This will take you back to the main dashboard area of Bold BI.

Now you can create a dashboard based on the requirements and the data obtained from the TiDB database. Utilize the various visualization tools and widgets available in Bold BI to represent your data effectively.
