How to perform the URL Linking between Bold BI Dashboards

Published:

Overview:

In Bold BI, users are able to interact with the multiple dashboards through URL linking. By clicking the value shown on the chart, users can view the desired results from other dashboards. This functionality enables the seamless transfer of values from one dashboard to another, allowing for the presentation of diverse results across multiple dashboards. This article serves as a comprehensive guide on how to successfully implement this use case.

Steps to Implement the URL Linking:

By following the below steps, you can implement URL linking in your Bold BI dashboards, allowing for more interactive and customized user experiences.

  1. In this dashboard, we have selected the Bar widget (Order Details By Country) that requires the linking functionality to be performed. Select the bar widget and access the properties panel in designer mode. You can refer to this link for opening Dashboard Designer.

  7. In the Grid widget alone, there are two methods of linking: row-level linking and column-level linking. For detailed configuration settings, please refer to the documentation on Row Level Linking and Column Level Linking. The column-level settings for the OrderID column have been configured in the screenshot provided below. By clicking on the OrderID column, a popup dialog will display the product details for the corresponding ID. The screenshot below displays the product details associated with OrderID 10248.
