Generating Access Reports in Bold BI

Bold BI provides a feature called Usage Analytics Dashboard that allows administrators to monitor dashboard activity. This feature helps in understanding how users are interacting with dashboards.

Customizing the Usage Analytics Dashboard

To customize the Usage Analytics Dashboard, follow the steps below:

1. Visit the help documentation to learn about the usage analytics dashboard at Bold BI Help

2. Click on the “More options” menu icon and select the “Copy” option.

3. The “Usage Analytics Dashboard” will be copied to the category. You will be able to find the dashboard in the category with the edit option. You can customize the dashboard by editing the dashboard.

Steps to Generate a Report

To generate a report of access to Bold BI, follow the steps below:

1. Edit the “Usage analytics dashboard” and select the “Daily Dashboard Views” widget. Then, go to the “Assign Data” section.

2. Drag and drop the “Activity Date” field twice in the “Column(s)” field section. Next, change the Date format by clicking on the setting icons in the field, selecting the “More” option menu, and choosing the desired format.

3. In the Tooltip field section, configure the “Display Name” and “Report Name” to show the “Username” and “Dashboard name,” respectively.

4. Preview the dashboard, click on the month, and select “Drill Down.” Hover over the widget to view the active hours of the dashboard and user.

By following these steps, you can generate a report that shows which dashboard or website is most accessed.
