Updating Uploaded Excel Files with Different Schema
In some instances, you may want to update an uploaded Excel file with a new file that has a different schema. However, it’s important to note that this is not possible.
While you can upload a new file with a different schema, doing so will result in the loss of the previous dashboard configuration. This means that any settings or customizations you’ve made to your dashboard will be reset to their default state.
Additionally, if you’ve created any expressions, these will also be lost. Expressions are formulas or calculations that you’ve set up in your dashboard. When you upload a new file with a different schema, these expressions will not be carried over.
Therefore, before uploading a new file with a different schema, it’s recommended to save or document any important dashboard configurations or expressions. This way, you can easily reconfigure your dashboard or recreate your expressions after the new file has been uploaded.
