How to customize password policies in Bold BI?

Password policies are essential for ensuring the security of user accounts and sensitive data within Bold BI. By customizing password policies, administrators can enforce strong password practices, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches.

Please follow the below steps to configure the password policies that matches with your organization’s IT policy.

Step 1: Accessing the Administration Area

1. Log in to the Bold BI application using your administrator credentials.
2. Navigate to the following URL - https://<your-domain>/ums/administration/security?view=user-account

Step 2: Configuring Password Policies

In the Password Policy settings, you’ll find various options to customize the password requirements. Modify the policies and save the changes.

• Minimum password length: Specify the minimum number of characters a password must contain.
• Require uppercase letters: Toggle this option to mandate the inclusion of uppercase letters in passwords.
• Require lowercase letters: Toggle this option to mandate the inclusion of lowercase letters in passwords.
• Require numbers: Toggle this option to mandate the inclusion of numeric digits in passwords.
• Require special characters: Toggle this option to mandate the inclusion of special characters (e.g., !, @, #, $) in passwords.
