Resolving Localization Issues in Bold BI After Upgrading to the Latest Version

When upgrading to the latest version of Bold BI, you may encounter localization issues. This is often due to the use of a locale.js file from a version below the latest version. To resolve this issue, you will need to replace the locale.js file with the latest version, which contains all the correctly generated strings.

Steps to Replace the Locale.js File

  1. Download the necessary locale file for your required language. For example, you can download the Spanish locale file here and the German locale file here.

  2. Extract the contents of the download zip folder, which includes the bi-dataservice folder.
  3. Replace the “bi-dataservice folder” at the following location: “{Bold BI deployed location}\BoldServices\app_data\locale\{Language Code}\bi-dataservice”.
