How to modify the idle session time in Bold BI?

By default, Bold BI will logout the user session if they are inactive for 60 minutes. We can increase the session time using the settings available in the configuration file. Please follow the below steps on how to increase the session time of the user in Bold BI On-Premises Deployment.

Note: This feature is available in On-Premises Deployment but not in Syncfusion Managed Cloud Server

  1. Login Bold BI application with the UMS Admin user.

  2. Go to Configuration editor of the UMS settings,
    Example: {your_domain}/ums/administration/config-editor

  3. Select the config.json file under Search your files drop-down.

    Note: From version 6.19.14, use the config.json and the config.xml for versions prior to this.

  4. Search for the SessionIdleMinutes node and set minutes according to your requirement. Default Value is 60 minutes. Save the file changes by clicking on Save button.

  5. At last restart the Bold BI application by using this link, now the idle session will be active till the configured time and will timeout once it reached.
