Bold BI allows users to track the duration of dashboard access over a specific period. This feature can be particularly useful for monitoring usage patterns and optimizing dashboard performance. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to track the number of hours a dashboard was accessed in a month.
Steps to Track Dashboard Access Duration
-
Begin by editing the “Usage analytics dashboard”. Select the “Daily Dashboard Views” widget and proceed to the “Assign Data” section.
-
In the “Column(s)” field section, drag and drop the “Activity Date” field twice. To change the Date format, click on the setting icons in the field, select the “More” option menu, and choose the desired format.
-
Configure the “Display Name” and “Report Name” in the Tooltip field section to display the “Username” and “Dashboard name,” respectively.
-
To preview the dashboard, click on the month and select “Drill Down.” Hover over the widget to view the active hours of the dashboard and user.
By following these steps, you can easily track the number of hours a dashboard was accessed during a specific month. This can provide valuable insights into usage patterns and help in making data-driven decisions.
