Protecting Bold BI from Brute Force Attacks
Bold BI has implemented a security feature to protect against brute force attacks. This feature allows the system to lock a user account if the incorrect password is entered five times or more.
Enabling and Disabling User Account Lockout
To enable or disable the user account lockout feature, follow these steps:

Navigate to the
security
settings page. You can access this page by appending/ums/administration/security
to your domain URL. -
Once you’re on the security settings page, you can enable the user account lockout feature.
After enabling this feature, if a user enters an incorrect password five times or more, the following message will be displayed on the login page:
Unlocking a User Account
If a user’s account is locked, an administrator can unlock it from the user details page.
