Calculating and Displaying Average Weekday Volume for a Specific Day

In order to calculate the average volume for a specific weekday in the previous month, there are several methods that can be utilized. This article will outline three such methods:

• Using the Relative Date Filter,
• Filter Widget ComboBox and Date Picker, and
• Filter section in the Chart widget.

Using the Relative Date Filter

• Configure a chart widget and bind it to the desired date field.
• Adjust the date type to "Day Of Week".           
• Access the Relative Date Filter dialog by selecting an option in the settings for the configured date field.
• Apply the desired Relative Date Filter.            
• The chart widget will now display the data with the applied relative filter.

Utilizing the Filter Widget ComboBox and Date Picker:

• Configure a chart widget and bind it to the desired date field.
• Set up the desired filter widget.
•  If the ComboBox widget is used, configure the date field for it and modify the date type to "Month Year".              
• If the Date Picker widget is used, enable the Range option in the Date picker property panel. Additionally, the relative date filter can be added to the date picker widget. • Confirm if the chart widget acts as a slave for the filter widget.
• Preview or publish the dashboard and apply the filter in the filter widget. The chart widget will display the data with the applied filters.

Utilizing the Filter section in the Chart widget:

• Configure a chart widget and bind it to the desired date field.
• Configure the same date field in the Filter Section.
• Adjust the date type to "Month Year" and apply the desired filter.            
• The chart widget will display the data with the applied relative filter.
