How to Display Text in Card Visuals

Published:

In some scenarios, you may want to display text or other non-numerical data in a card visual. This could be useful for displaying the top agent according to sales, or the date when the data was last refreshed. This article will guide you through the steps to achieve this.

Steps to Display Text in Card Visuals

  1. Drag and Drop the Number Card Widget: Start by dragging and dropping the Number card widget onto your dashboard. In the Assign Data tab, drop the required dimension field. For example, if you want to display the top product according to sales, you would drop the ‘Product Name’ field.

  2. Hide the Value Field: In the Value field of the card, you can drop any columns (either measure or dimension). Since we are going to hide this value, it doesn’t matter what you choose. Navigate to the Properties tab and uncheck the ‘Show Measure’ checkbox. Now you should only see the Series field and header of the card in the Number card widget.
