How to Display Different Background Colors for Title and Value in a Card Widget
This article provides instructions on how to display distinct background colors for the title and value in a card widget. This can be accomplished by utilizing a combination of widgets, such as the RTE and Card widgets. The following steps outline the process.
Steps
- Create a new dashboard and configure a combined widget
Start by creating a new dashboard. Once you have your dashboard, configure a combined widget. This will allow you to use multiple widgets in a single space.
- Drag and drop the RTE and Number Card widgets into the combined widget
Next, drag and drop the RTE (Rich Text Editor) and Number Card widgets into the combined widget.
- Put the title into the RTE widget and customize the text style as desired
Enter your title into the RTE widget. You can customize the text style as per your requirements. This includes changing the font, size, color, and more.
- Bind the field to the Number Card widget and go to the properties
Now, bind the field (the data you want to display) to the Number Card widget. Once done, go to the properties of the Number Card widget.
- Disable the "Show Title" option and change the background color under the "Background" category
In the properties of the Number Card widget, disable the "Show Title" option. This will hide the default title of the Number Card widget.
- Preview or publish the dashboard to see the visualization
Finally, preview or publish the dashboard. You should now see the title and value in the card widget with different background colors.
Conclusion
While Bold BI does not directly support displaying different background colors for the Title and Value in a card widget, you can achieve this by using a combination of widgets. This workaround allows you to customize your dashboard to better suit your needs.
