How to Connect Multiple Oracle Schemas to a Single Dashboard in Bold BI

Published:

To connect to multiple Oracle schemas in parallel within Bold BI, you need to create multiple data sources, each having its own schema. This allows you to access data from different schemas and display it on a single dashboard. Follow the steps below to create separate data sources for each schema and add them to your dashboard.

Step 1: Create Separate Data Sources for Each Schema

  1. Navigate to the Data Sources section in Bold BI.
  2. Click on Add Data Source.
  3. Select Oracle from the list of connectors.
  4. Enter the required connection details for the first schema, such as the server name, port, service name, username, and password.
  5. Click on Connect to establish a connection to the Oracle database.
  6. Select the desired schema from the list of available schemas.
  7. Click on Save to create the data source for the first schema.
  8. Repeat steps 2-7 for each additional schema you want to connect to your dashboard.

Step 2: Add Multiple Oracle Schemas to a Single Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the Dashboards section in Bold BI.
  2. Click on Create Dashboard or open an existing dashboard.
  3. Click on Add Widget.
  4. In the Data Sources tab, click on Use Existing.
  5. Select the first Oracle schema data source from the list of available data sources.
  6. Design your widget using the data from the first schema.
  7. Click on Save to add the widget to your dashboard.
  8. Repeat steps 3-7 for each additional schema data source you want to include in your dashboard.

By following these steps, you can successfully connect multiple Oracle schemas to a single dashboard in Bold BI.
