How to handle 'Error occurred while processing your request' in Bold BI

In Bold BI version 5.3.83, session fixation has been improved for security purposes. This improvement may cause an error message to appear when a tab is in an idle state for at least 1 hour and a request is sent after that time. The error “Error occurred while processing your request” may appear when a tab is in an idle state for at least 1 hour, and a request is sent to Bold BI after that time. This is due to the session timeout implemented in version 5.3.83.

Cause

The session timeout is a security feature that logout the current session if no request is sent to Bold BI from the browser for at least 1 hour. This feature was introduced to improve session fixation and enhance the security of the application.

Solution

To avoid encountering this error, it is recommended to refresh the tab or send a request to Bold BI before the 1-hour idle state is reached. This will ensure that the session remains active and the error does not appear.
