How to Add a Bullet Chart Custom Widget in Bold BI Server

A bullet chart is a useful tool for tracking progress toward a target across multiple items. In Bold BI Server, you can add a bullet chart as a custom widget. Follow the steps below to include the bullet chart in your dashboard.

Steps to Add a Bullet Chart Custom Widget

1. Download the below custom widget. This widget will be in the .bicw file format

2. Navigate to the Settings page in Bold BI.

3. Select the Widgets tab.

4. Click the Add New Widget button.

5. Browse and select the downloaded custom widget (.bicw) file to add it.
   

   

   You can find the added widget in the Custom Widgets section.
   

   

Now you can use the bullet chart custom widget to track progress towards a target for multiple items in your dashboard.

Ranges in Bullet Chart

• In a Bullet Chart, ranges represent different quality levels like Good, Bad, and Satisfactory. To enhance readability, use color properties to apply colors to these ranges.
  
  

Drill-Down in Bullet Chart

• In Bold BI, you have the option to activate the drill-down feature in a Bullet Chart. This allows you to examine data with varying levels of detail.
  
  
• Once this feature is enabled, selecting a bar in the bullet chart will filter and reveal more specific data associated with that category.
