In a multi-tenant solution like Bold BI, the most common feature is publishing data sources across tenants (sites). When publishing data sources, there are some possible mistakes that can break the data sources and dashboards. This article will help you resolve one such scenario.

Issue Details:

When working with published data sources that utilize cross-data source parameters, you may encounter object reference issues.

Cause:

The dashboard parameter used in the query will not be available in the published site.

Solution:

Solution 1:

You need to enable "Use source dashboard and data source name." This will publish dashboard and data source with source dashboard and data source names in destination sites.

Solution 2:

You can modify the query based on the name of the data source at the target site. Assuming we have renamed the data source in the target site as TargetDS.
